The green growth on the forest floor. The fresh wind that carried life. The ferns and moss that softly sprouted in the soft, cold dirt. And a raccoon scurrying through the woods. It shifted. A hawk, soaring and dodging through the trees. A fox, pouncing onto a passing mouse. A deer, loping through the undergrowth. Then a boy, with short, curly, golden hair, eyes the colour of the sea.
