Mia doesn't remember who she used to be, but something does, something ancient and forgotten.

When The Operator comes to claim her and bring her into
his world, Mia cannot deny the changes within herself and with the ones around her. Specifically an orange-goggled killer that cannot decide between hunting her and keeping her for his own.

Toby is unstable, violent, unpredictable, everything she should stay away from. But every time they get close, something fractures. Control slips. Memories bleed through.

And neither of them walks away unscathed.
