Charlotte "Lottie" Costa is a newly graduated nurse in Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center. Her parents are also nurses in the same hospital.

It's always been just the three of them. Lottie has no siblings, and the rest of the family is in another country. To the them, the closest thing to a family was ptmc's staff.

That is until Dennis Whitaker actually become family. Lottie and Dennis start a slow, yet burning and true relationship. Just two souls who feel lost in every crowd finding each other.

Unfortunately, a few months later, Lottie's parents die in a violent car crash.

Dennis watches her mental state deteriorate slowly, until she completely breaks down a year later.

Now a patient from the same hospital she used to work for, Lottie has to learn how to rebuild her life from scratch, and also how to love again. How to let someone reflect and heal her scars.

Told in short chapters, "Silver Linings" is a story about grief, recovery, family, and letting someone teach you how to see the bright side in life.
