Before he was the Doomslayer, he was a Convict.

​Mark Kane traded his career for his conscience. After refusing to fire on civilians, he's "shipped to the red graveyard" of Mars. But the punishment is just beginning.

​Deimos vanished from the sky.

Then Phobos screamed, and went silent.

​Now, Kane sits in a dropship, the sole witness to his unit's slaughter. Orders say stay put. Survival says stay put. But the static on the radio is being replaced by something... ancient---and Kane makes a decision:

Defy orders and stop it---anyway he can.

​The reinforcements are a day away. The Vanguard of Hell is already through the door. One man. A belt-fed carbine. And a debt to settle with the abyss.
