After everything cracked open, life doesn't slow down. It gets louder. Tuck is home, but home comes with rules, pressure, and the knowledge that one bad night could send him right back. Sparky is out too, trying to adjust to a life that's finally opening up while still carrying everything that got him there. Ella's truth is finally out, and nothing in the family feels untouched by it now. But the world doesn't pause just because they're hurting. It's the last semester of senior year, and everything is happening at once. School. Secrets. Relationships. Fear. The Red Jaws. Old threats that never really went away. New truths no one is ready for. And a group of friends trying to hold onto each other while life keeps changing faster than they can catch up. This is the fallout. This is the pressure. This is the part where everything matters. This Is What Comes After is about what happens when the truth is finally out and everyone has to figure out how to live with it.

Book 1 of this series: it is the same one as my past just rewritten and edited. Book 1 centers on Chase, the school's popular basketball star, who looks like he has the perfect life-until real pressure starts piling up because his dad Ryder is the principal and every mistake becomes a "principal's son" problem. Katie is the other parent in the background, trying to keep the home side steady while school life stays intense. Chase's best friend is Marshall, but their friendship isn't the typical funny-sidekick dynamic. Marshall is loyal in a deeper, unexpected way-more protective, more serious, and involved in parts of Chase's life that most people don't see. Then Skye shows up as the real turning point. Chase falls for her, and she doesn't treat him like a celebrity athlete. She sees him as a person, which makes him want more than his reputation... but also puts him in a risky spot with his dad's rules and the school's attention. Sweetie and Tracker are the "bad kids" who cause trouble and stir drama, and they become the main source of conflict at school-pushing situations that start to threaten Chase and Skye, and forcing Chase and Marshall to deal with problems that can't be solved on the court.
