Jung Yoon-woo has never been a traditional shaman. He doesn't rely on rigid rites. Instead, he travels from place to place, listening to lingering emotions and helping restless spirits move on, fulfilling one quiet promise at a time.

When his path leads him to the small town of Sam-ri, he expects another simple case. Rivers that turn salty? Crops decay and rot? All the signals that usually point to a vengeful presence waiting to be found. But Sam-ri refuses to reveal itself so easily. The air feels heavy, the people guarded, and the unease runs deeper than any haunting Jung Yoon-woo has encountered before.

And then, a spirit answers his call.

What begins as a cautious exchange soon grows into an unusual companionship. Yet the longer Jung Yoon-woo remains, the more the town resists him. Whispers falter. Signs don't align. And the deeper he looks, the more he senses that something in Sam-ri has been waiting far longer than anyone realizes.
