One day, Laurence, a plague-seeker from the continental capital, woke up stranded outside the unfamiliar city of Gutterfen.
Unable to remember why or how he got there, the plague-seeker discovers a letter on his person, one marked "urgent" and addressed to the local council.
Lost, alone, and unable to get directions in a city that's terrified of him, Laurence still strives to fulfil his duty to the best of his ability - even against the forces of greed, vengeance, and sheer incompetence.
