Dreamside

The story takes place in an alternate reality in which Charles Manson did not exist and the murders he committed did not occur. The countercultural movement of the 1960s was never morally traumatized or socially discredited. Hippie ideology did not collapse into paranoia or moral panic but instead evolved and integrated into mainstream Californian culture, Hollywood, and elite creative environments. The narrative is not a critique of excess, manipulation, or moral decay. It is an observational story about adults who live in a cultural context where intimacy, asymmetry, and experimentation are not automatically framed as abuse or loss of agency.
