Amber Scott has fallen into a fatiguing routine. One where she finds herself repeating the same simple steps. Wake up, go to school, come home, do homework, write, read, sleep, and find some time to eat between all of that. In her Senior Year of high school, however, she is presented with a problem and its solution. Her problem is the lack of inspiration she finds within her one stoplight town in Georgia. Her solution on the other hand is when an author, Matthew Connors begins teaching at her school.

- Completed 9/26/25 - His eyes bore into hers, fierce and desperate. "When I'm with you, Zara, I feel something real-a connection that I thought had died with my marriage. You're not just another name on the roster; you're fire and passion wrapped in a body that makes me want to be better." Each word dripped with sincerity as his heart bared itself before her, raw and vulnerable. "I was scared of what that meant for me. Scared of losing control because for once in my life, it felt like maybe-just maybe-I could have something worth fighting for." The truth hung heavy between them as he swallowed hard against the emotions pooling in his throat. Zara's gaze softened momentarily as if she felt the weight of his admission sink deep into her bones. But just as quickly as her expression shifted, her defenses snapped back into place. "Had you told me this the day I confronted you in the medic room," she said slowly, her voice steady despite the tremor of vulnerability beneath it, "I would've accepted it. But now it's too little too late." Randy felt as though she'd slapped him across the face with those words, the sting of her rejection cutting deeper than he could've anticipated. Every muscle in his body tensed, and the breath fled his lungs as he struggled to comprehend the weight of her finality. However, much to his dismay, he nodded in acceptance, turned his back and walked out of her room.
