This Was NOT in the Campaign | Max Mayfield
Hawkins isn't the kind of place where exciting things happen.
At least, that's what T.J. Harper keeps telling himself.
He's used to normal problems-school, D&D nights that go too long, busted walkies he has to fix because no one else can, and Lucas dragging him into situations he swears he didn't agree to.
But when Will Byers goes missing, "normal" stops applying.
Lights flicker. Shadows move. People lie.
And T.J. keeps finding himself in the middle of things he'd rather not understand.
He deals with it the only way he knows how: sarcasm, quick thinking, and sticking close to the people he refuses to lose.
Then Max Mayfield shows up.
New girl, sharp edge, faster on a skateboard than most kids are on bikes.
She doesn't buy his jokes. She doesn't back down.
And somehow, without trying, she becomes part of the mess he never asked for.
Hawkins is getting stranger.
T.J.'s world is getting bigger.
And pretending everything is fine isn't working anymore.
And this?
This was definitely not in the campaign.
