The series follows the titular character, Sonic the Hedgehog, who battles his archenemy, Dr. Eggman, along with his allied friends, Miles "Tails" Prower, Knuckles Silverbolt, Amy Rose, Stellaria Marie "Stella" Silverbolt, Chloe, Cream the Rabbit, and Cheese, are both transferred from their home planet into a human world. There, Sonic befriends a 12-year-old human boy named Christopher Thorndyke, who helps Sonic and his friends to take on Dr. Eggman, becoming heroic celebrities to the human civilization while retrieving the Chaos Emeralds, so that they would be able to return home. The third season chronicles Sonic and his friends, including Chris, befriending an anthropomorphic green plant-like girl named Cosmo, reuniting with a lost parent of Stella, while facing off against Drake and an evil robotic alien army called the "Metarex".
