Romina had been sheltered. Hidden away by her family who were afraid she wouldn't be able to thrive out in the world when she couldn't even use her voice. They could not pray away her condition, they couldn't pray away that virus either... She was lucky that she babysat her neighbors kid so often, and that the neighbor was a sheriff whose deputy partner just couldn't leave her behind when all hell broke loose.

Then comes along the Dixons, brothers that Romina couldn't help but gravitate towards for so many different reasons. Like.. he looked her in the eyes...

That Deputy Partner, Shane Walsh, isn't used to someone else catching her eyes though... Jealousy isn't a pretty color on any of them, not even a little bit.
