Amphibia: The Apex Protocol

Marked with the ink of a lab and fused with the DNA of a mechanical god, a mute ten-year-old known only as Boy becomes a living glitch in the marshlands of Amphibia. Carrying the jagged scales and the bone-shaking, Kraken-like roar of the Apex, he finds a strange sanctuary with Anne Boonchuy and the Plantars. But beneath the slapstick chaos of frog life lies a primal, world-ending rage; Boy is a ticking time bomb of bioluminescent fury, struggling to remain a child while his instincts scream like a predator.

As Boy fights to keep the monster submerged, a threat more cold-blooded than King Andrias crosses the dimensional rift: the human scientists who branded him. These hunters view Boy as stolen property to be "reclaimed" with high-tech restraints, indifferent to the lives of the frogs in their way. Forced into a corner between his human heart and his Kaiju heritage, Boy must decide if he is the weapon they designed or the protector the Plantars believe him to be-all while trying to ensure his first real laugh doesn't end in a roar that levels the valley...
