Jacob Indiana Furley has never been the quiet type, not as a kid and definitely not as an adult. Trouble does not just find him, it practically goes looking for him. What starts as a childhood full of harmless mischief quickly turns into a lifetime of chaos. There is the time he accidentally knocks a priest into a coma with a month old chocolate, the ill fated boat trip that somehow ends in sinking, and a string of bizarre misadventures involving haunted sheds, workplace disasters, and situations that seem too absurd to be real but somehow are. As Jacob stumbles from one mess to the next, he is surrounded by equally unforgettable characters. There is a nun who may or may not be possessed, a best friend with a talent for attracting danger, especially bulls, an uncle running shady cigarette deals, and a priest who probably should have retired years ago but did not. Through it all, Jacob grows older but not necessarily wiser. Just when life seems to reach peak chaos, he unexpectedly comes face to face with someone from his past, forcing him to confront more than just his bad luck. Life of a Fool is a wild, funny, and slightly reckless ride through one man's unpredictable life, a reminder that sometimes just making it through the day is its own kind of adventure.
