Through alternating views between Heroes and Villains, in this dystopian-style story, Calla works to bring down revenge and justice on the domineering Leaders who control the entirety of the civil world all while fighting her growing and white unhelpful emotions. Super abilities, power, greed, and a want for revenge all clash in Waal's beautiful debut novel.

Rated mature because self-harm subjects and descriptions of gore and insanity are explored here and there, however, there is no spice and no swearing.
