>We walked over to an empty table. Daddy carrying our food, me carrying my booster seat so I can reach over the table to eat. After placing the tray on the table I stretched out my arms so Daddy can put me in my chair.
"Cas?" He asked softly once he sat.
"Yes, Daddy?" I muffled with my mouth full of nuggies and fries. Looking around for something to wipe my fingers on because I didn't want to dirty my new pink shirt.
"Papa would love it if you could keep what we came here for a secret between us. There's no need to go and tell your Mother this, okay Cassie?"
Secret? Cassie loves secrets! I giggled, "Of course, Daddy!" I smiled big at Daddy; seeing his brown eyes sparkle like a brand new marble.
"Thank you, Cassie." I stuffed more nuggies and fries in my mouth.
"So, a-are we gonna see M-mommy today?" I kept my eyes down not wanting to see Daddy's eyes stop sparkling.
"Yes. As a matter of fact, we can go as soon as we're finished eating. How does that sound?" he asked.
"Yay!" I shouted back.
                                                                                                     ***
This story goes over ten years of this person's life so they won't be forever five years old. This book is tragic but that's the only kind I seem to be able to write. I'm not very good writing the lovey dovey stuff so bare with me now. Also thank you for giving my story a chance it is still a work in progress.
