Michael Bakerson had come from a tough background. He had only ever tasted meat once. His village was poor and struggled to survive. There was one thing that gave him hope: the military. When he is given a chance to join the Army, he grasps it with both hands. However, his dream quickly fades into something far more sinister, as the sides become less clear cut than ever.

Set in an alternate future where the nuclear bomb was never created and there was nothing to stop the USA and USSR in plunging into a deadly war, this novel follows the story of a team that have no choice but to take on the establishment - and pay the price.
