"Erin, will you be my fake girlfriend?" Andrew gets down on one knee. He looks up at me with an expectant gaze. I get he's trying to make it authentic as possible, but he shouldn't do it in the middle of a mall where many can see.
"For the last time, I will not be your fake girlfriend!" I whisper shouted at him. I grabbed his arm and forced him to stand up. "Can you not make the situation worse and just stop."
Andrew smiled mischievously, "Only if you accept."
"I already told you I won't," I sigh and look around at all the people giving us different looks. Some look at us in awe, others with annoyance and some are laughing at this whole situation.
"Desperate times call for desperate measures," he muttered under his breath. Please tell me he isn't going to start begging. As much as I would hate for that to happen in front of so many people that's not what he does.
He motions for someone with his hand. I look behind me and notice it's his little brother, Mark. What he's planning on doing is beyond me, but I think it involves something with music since Mark is carrying a portable speaker. It's one of those rectangular ones that you can connect a microphone to and guess what? There was a microphone connected to it. I really don't like how this playing out. Why is he so desperate on doing this?
Andrew headed to get the speaker along with the microphone and positioned it in front of me. He took out his phone and connected it to the speaker. In a few seconds I heard the beginning to one of my favorite songs, which filled me with more dread since I knew the lyrics.
"Oh no," I let out as Andrew smiled.
"Oh yes," he responded as he grabbed the microphone.
I heard a few people whistling and whooping as the intro continued. Of course, many people recognized the song. How can you not?
Andrew did a spin before he finally spoke into the mic, "You're just too good to be true."
