biological father for a different man, she became upset and she was only 4 years old at that time.
She kinda knew why her own mother left her own father because he was drug addict and he would
always abuse her mother whenever she was not looking, she found out the truth after her mother telling her and she had a rough childhood, she was struggling to keep her family perfect.
But that's when she met Jack Abbott who is working with her at the hospital that she now works at, she's a really hard worker and so is he and they have a special bond with each other.
They both have feelings for each other but he doesn't want her to know his real age which he is 47.

Rebecca Brooks is starting over; trying to leave her past in New York City by taking a job in Pittsburgh as the newest emergency medicine attending in what everyone refers to as the Pitt. She finally has her fresh start for herself and her daughter so she's willing to overlook the grumpy attending Jack Abbot who seems to have it out for her; but it's obvious the feeling of loathing is mutual. Jack Abbot is just trying to get through the day to day. A recent widower loosing his wife a few years ago and still trying to overcome a very traumatic past. He's reserved mostly only ever associating with his coworker and best friend Robby. He doesn't have a history of being hard to work with, so why does the newest ray of sunshine attending that everyone seems to love get under his skin? Her presence both irritates and intrigues him. When the pair realize they now share a best friend and must get over themselves by occasionally spending time with one another. Will things change between the two when they realize they have more in common that they each thought? What will become of the future if the past starts to catch up with them?
