In a world where every soul is branded at birth with a role by an all-controlling force known only as the System, one child is born with no mark - no purpose, no place, no reason to exist in the eyes of the order that rules all things. His arrival shatters the sky and cracks the earth. When the System commands his death, it fails - and the boy speaks, ancient and cold, in a voice that does not belong to an infant. He is Zereth: reincarnated creator of the System itself, risen from his grave to destroy what he built. What follows is not a battle of armies or magic, but a confrontation between a father and the child-god he abandoned - a reckoning between creation and creator, control and free will, death and the things we leave behind when we finally submit to it.
