Lillith did not ask for the man who fell through her window.

She is a healer in the lower city of Vael - living in the gap between the kingdom's laws and the people those laws forgot. She has built something real there. Small. Hers. She intends to keep it. On the other hand, a bloodrot has taken root in the slums, leaving one ripped soul after another. Now this unlicensed Healer is scrambling to find a cure and save her community.

Then a stranger crashes through her balcony at two in the morning, bleeding on her new carpet, and her own moral compass does what it always does.
She helps him anyway.
