We now live in an age where superhumans live among us.

If you are the 3% of humans born with an "S" gene, aka the Superman gene, predominant in males, you have better senses, stamina, strength, looks and intelligence than normal humans, and are born a successful model, genius, athlete. You are born genetically perfect. If slightly emotionally impared.

However, there's a catch.

If Sentinels use their powers too much, or loose concentration while using their powers, they can go into a coma, or simply forget to breath, too enraptured in their powers. This, in its extreme, is called going over the edge. There was no cure.

Until Guides were discovered.

Like Sentinels, Guides are Telekinetic and Empathetic humans with a "G" gene capable of stabilizing Sentinels when they go over the edge, predominant in females. However, Guides are rare. Making up only .005% of the World's population, Guides were extremely hard to find.

With Sentinel Zone Out rates increasing, the Sentinel Council is desperate to find more Guides, begining to test in schools, where teens are at the age that signs of Guides first occur, making any Guide found that doesn't accept the offer to the new "Guide Academy" disappear.

Cassidy Blake had always wished she was a Sentinel, that she could swim as fast as Damian Moore, or look as good as her supermodel/actor cousin Nathan. But as secrets she didn't know she was keeping are revealed, Sentinel jocks start being nice to her, and the Council of Sentinels start sending people to her house, Cassidy can't help but wish to be normal.

The Virus Within: The Unranked (Book 4)

50 parts Complete

Season 4 of The Virus Within Trinity is familiar with zombies, being one herself, but when strange zombies start appearing, she realizes that the world she knew might be changing yet again. When a dangerous set of scientific notes are discovered, Trinity and her friends don't realize anything is wrong until a frantic radio call comes in. Unaware of the notes, they race to the south and struggle to determine where the strange zombies came from. The zombies are unlike any ranks previously seen, and they aren't as predictable. Some have new tricks hidden up sleeves, forcing any Stronghold they encounter to quickly adapt to the new challenge or risk being overrun. Secrets never remain hidden, and zombie apocalypses never make life easy.
