STORY DESCRIPTION Alexei Sokolov is nineteen when he is transferred into a structured residential home for individuals who require supervision, stability, and routine-based care. It is meant to help him. A controlled environment. Monitored support. Predictable days designed to rebuild a life that no longer feels steady on its own. But Alexei didn't ask to be rebuilt. Silence that once lingered at the edge of his thoughts is gone, replaced by voices that never fully leave. Auditory hallucinations. Psychosis-spectrum symptoms. Still under evaluation. That is what the file says. What it doesn't say is how long he has learned to hide it-or how quickly he stopped trusting his own mind. Tall, withdrawn, and distant, Alexei keeps space between himself and everything around him. Not because he feels nothing, but because feeling has become unreliable. Control is what holds him together now. His family is still present. Still understanding. They didn't send him away out of absence, but out of care-trusting a place better equipped to support him than they could alone. But understanding doesn't always make change easier. Because in a place built on structure and observation... even silence starts to feel like something that can be heard.
