All his life he has been a misfit. He has never been able to truly fit in no matter what he does. 20 years later, he reflects on his past and the horrible life he lived in the Heart of LA during the 90's. Dealing with perverse notions like poverty, addiction, abuse, neglect and other horrors the life he chose has to offer, he tells the story of what defined him, what happened, and how it pushed him to the edge of everything. (An original novel in progress. A taste of it from chapter one!)

Jace Summers is someone who is always true to himself no matter what anyone else thinks of him, and he's proud of who he is. He has pastel pink hair, stunning deep brown eyes, and a sweet and silky voice that makes all of the girls swoon. Too bad he's gay though. He has been out since seventh grade and is thankful he has never gotten hate for it, not that it would have bothered him anyway. Alec Walker is someone who everyone knows and likes, though he doesn't consider himself to be one of the popular kids. He has brown hair, hazel eyes with the perfect mix of brown and green, and his side profile could make angels swoon. Neither of those two boys seem very different from each other, both are kind, well-liked, and very handsome. Even if they aren't friends, you wouldn't expect them to dislike each other. Well, sadly that is incorrect. Ever since they can remember, they have each hated each other with a burning passion. Jace thinks Alec is a jackass know-it-all, and Alec thinks Jace is annoying and throws his personality in everyone's faces. Those seem like very small or petty things that they could easily overcome by having a conversation, but both are too stubborn for that. It is a mutual hate that neither will give up. But when one day they get news that seems like the end of the world... it turns out to be the best thing that has happened to both of them. Not at first, but with time. *Has been edited for grammar and general cringe! (And is miraculously one chapter longer than it was originally!)

Somewhere Between Chaos and the Ocean Sam Parker didn't plan for her life to look like this-freshly dumped, unemployed, and floating somewhere between who she was and who she's supposed to be. The only thing steady in her life is the band, the music, and the way the ocean feels at night when everything else stops mattering. She spends her days chasing gigs with the three boys, dodging questions about the future, and relearning how to be happy in a life that looks nothing like she imagined. Relearning to trust, in a world that taught her not to. But maybe that's the point. Maybe happiness isn't something you plan for. Maybe it's in music and art and beachs and love. All kinds of love. In the midnight drives with no destination, in the people who show up when everything else falls apart. Maybe she's exactly where she's supposed to be. But her seemingly obsessive ex boyfriend seems to be lurking around her life, trying to make it a living hell. **** "But that's just life, yeah? what about the future. Do you not want a family of your own?" Matty asked. "What, you want a wife and kids?" I asked, amused. Matty Adler. The boy notoriously known as a ex-badboy who slowly grew into this emotionless, righteous guy? A wife and kids seemed like the last thing he'd want. "Hell yeah I want a wife and kids," He said. "I want that normie mundane ass life. I want two daughters and I wanna spoil them rotton," He smiled "Wow never chalked you off for a wife and kids kinda boy Matty," I said, inhaling the cold air of the night. "That's the life Sam. When people have nothing going on and they're still happy. The small things are enough to keep em going," He said. "You don't believe in chasing highs?" I asked. "I think there's a time and place for eveything. I think everything's an experience, but the end goal has to be some slow boring life in a small town." I nodded. ****

"You got too comfortable with me, doll but I didn't show you what Ace can really do." He mumbled. He broke the eye contact we were having and leaned closer to my neck. My heart beat was racing his and each breath he took sent electricity all over my body. I bit my tongue, scared of what my brain could make me say. "And I don't think you want to know," he whispered so close to my ear sending shivers down my spine. I took a deep breath, trying to collect my thoughts. He moved back to stare into my eyes, wanting to see his effect on me but I didn't give it to him. I smirked, pushed my chin down and looked up at him. "You're all talk, Ace," I whispered, not even blinking. I saw the gulp that rose in his throat, growing my smirk. Without All This Noise - an original story

12 parts Ongoing Mature

A band. A bond to last a lifetime. The summer before their senior year, and Nick's freshman year of college, everything changes when Nick suddenly overdoses without warning. Now, the three of them are forced to rebuild themselves. Their loyalty to the band, themselves, and music is tested with the arrival of their new drummer as they all struggle with their own personal challenges. Will they be able to pull through? Will they be able to listen to their souls, themselves, without all the extra noise and pressure of the world around them? TW: This story contains mature themes, including: mentions of self-harm, suicide, non-sexual nudity, guilt, grief, loss, depression, alcoholism, neglect, body dysmorphia, smoking, Christianity, and underage drinking. This story is not intended to glorify these things in any way, it is meant to address these issues as the characters learn to navigate past them. This story is about more than just this, though -- this story is dedicated to my love of rock music, and the healing powers music can have. This story is about growing up, and finding your place in the world, and learning to deal with heavy things such as mental health disorders, and how music can be a sort of self-healing and self-reflection, along with therapy.
