Both dont even know who athen is until war breaks out from the expirement that failed. Val and lucas tried there best to fix this but losing their lives was a major risk that was ready to be taken.
At just 15 and 16, still finishing school. Voices turn into panic screams and widened eyes , begging to not be killed. Will they be ok? Will they do it? What happens next..? those were the questions that always lingered in peoples heads when it all went down. Val started making swords and armour when she was 14, she was a bookworm so she knew what to do , Lucas on the other hand hated books but was taking survival classes as an extra curriculum club in case anything like this happens.
The powers can be rare or as common as a rock but the royal mark , necromancy , stays nearly impossible and hidden beneath the jagged sharp edges in a place , undiscovered. these powers are also put too good use but get more better every 2 years.
