Project: Planetary

The world didn't end in fire.

It ended quietly, one system failing after another. Oceans rising. Crops dying. Air turning thin enough to burn your lungs with every breath.

People called it "the weakening."

The government called it something else.

Failure.

At first, they tried to fix it. Then they tried to control it.
And when that didn't work.

They began to erase it.

Cities were emptied. Entire populations declared "unsustainable." The ones who survived learned quickly: don't be seen, don't be counted, don't exist.

They became something new.

The Unbound.

But the Axis Authority had already moved on from saving what remained.

They would build something better.

Something stronger.

Something that could survive a dying world.

Deep beneath the surface, hidden from the collapsing sky, nine children were created, not born.

They called them the Planetary Subjects.

Weapons. Replacements. Salvation.

They were given names once.

No one uses them anymore.

Only the planets they were made to become.
