Kitsune does not have a surname, except in really formal settings when someone is yelling at him. Kitsune is just what Danzo has called the boy since he could remember. Maybe it was because of the whiskers that marked his face that Danzo found Kitsune fitting for the boy, but those whiskers have also spelled the boy's doom whenever he dares to walk the streets of Konohagakure without his fox mask, with or without a friend, not that he has many....
