What if every reflection you saw was staring right back at you?

                                                                                                  ×

All of her life, Iris Hawkewood has been living in the Ashview Falls Orphanage in the seemingly ordinary town of, well, Ashview. But she is anything but ordinary. For as long as she can remember, Iris has had these...abilities. She has fought hard to keep them a secret. After all, she couldn't afford to lose the only family she ever had. But she knows things are beginning to change. And people are taking notice. Iris is fully aware that she will soon have outgrown her time at the orphanage, and she is more fearful than ever about what her powers could do in the outside world. Disaster seems inevitable...

That is until her elusive Aunt Alice offers to adopt her. After spending time at the Hawkewood Manor, Iris begins to realize that her powers may have been more important than she thought. But danger is lurking around the corner just like it has been her entire life. Stakes are high, all bets are off. And now, danger is here.

                                                                                                    ×

Amanda Fulwood has always felt out of place. Since she can remember, she was never capable of distinguishing the real from the fake, her mind constantly questioning whether she lived what she remembered or if it was just an outstanding dream. There's always this voice in her head, this coldness so sudden whenever she comes back to it. As bone-chilling as the air in a morgue, the feeling never fails to keep her up at night. It only got worse over the years, her visions turning more and more vivid, constantly wandering further away from this realm every time. Living in a small town has its perks, especially when you're the mayor's daughter, but it also comes with a handful of disadvantages. Her reputation as the local nut-job precedes her, and when she's found naked on the school football field, it only furthers their assumptions. Once caged and once freed, Amanda still struggles with the reality she is to face, one where just maybe, she really is insane. Or maybe, her mind is the keeper of something darker, sinister even. For the small town of Milton Oaks, crime is a non existent hassle. So when Amanda's memories seem to correlate with the events of the darkest nights in town history, she's left with a mystery on her hands. One that holds all the explanations she craved, for all the years plagued by those thoughts. But going down that route is a path of no return. Once Pandora's box has been opened, there's no closing it back. Among all the questions Amanda has, the only one that is hers to answer is, "Can she handle it?" Read the book and find out😉

Hi, I'm Jas ✨ I'm a writer who loves mystery, romance, and a touch of the supernatural. When I'm not writing, you'll probably find me sipping lavender tea, admiring spooky artwork, or walking in the park dreaming up my next story. 🌧️ Want to listen instead of read? I narrate my stories in a cozy audiobook style with rain sounds on my YouTube channel: 👉 Whispers by Jas - https://www.youtube.com/@WhispersbyJas 📖 New chapters of The Last Letter post every Tuesday & Thursday here on Wattpad (and on YouTube). Thank you for supporting my stories - it means the world! 💕 In the fog-soaked town of Ravenmoor, secrets linger longer than the mist. When seventeen-year-old Selene Carter stumbles across a stash of old letters hidden inside Blackwood Manor, she laughs off the warnings scribbled in faded ink. "Whoever reads this will fall in love... and die in thirty days." But when her classmate Adrian Vega accidentally opens one, he falls for Selene overnight-and his days are suddenly numbered. As the curse spreads and Ravenmoor's tragic history resurfaces, Selene and her best friend Naomi race to uncover the truth behind the letters' original writer: Evelyn Blackwood, a ghost who has been waiting a century for her revenge. With Adrian's life ticking away like ink bleeding across a page, Selene must decide how far she's willing to go for love-and whether breaking the curse will cost her everything. ✉️ Would you die for love... or die because of it? Avoid looking into those golden eyes. One look is enough and you will be lost forever. Once upon a time, beyond the forests and mountains, where the leaves always wore the color of autumn, a girl with great talent grew up, with her mother and father. One day, however, their happiness was stolen by tragedy. Her mother fell ill and death called her to the other side. Nothing was the same anymore. Her father remarried. And in the end, time took him away too. Iris was left alone with her stepmother and stepsister. They made her a maid, a slave. A prisoner of a life she hated. But something deep inside her prevented her from leaving the house she grew up in - her home. There, as a child, she created all the miracles with her mother and wanted to continue doing so, to give joy to those less fortunate. Like when she made a dress for the butcher's wife, whom her husband no longer loved, that made her irresistible to him again. Or when she made a shirt for her best friend Jace that was supposed to protect him from the edge of swords, since he liked to provoke the royal guards. Her little secret. But one day, her peaceful life decides to take a completely different direction and everything goes wrong. She meets a prince. She helps her stepsister win him for herself. And ancient family secrets get involved when a demon she is magically bonded with appears. A long-hidden story begins to unfold before her, revealing the truth about her mother, her ancient ancestors, and herself. And it all started with her simply taking off the necklace she should never have taken off.
