This is the unique story of the 18 year old Muslim girl, Zarina Hassan. A senior in high school who tends to distance herself from people and doesn't talk out as much. She sits quietly by herself in the back of her classes doing her classwork or drawing in her sketchbook. She seems to be that kind of person who is one of those background characters in every book that never gets mentioned. But now she is getting the spotlight.
Through the shield she puts up, Zarina is a dedicated Muslim who tries her best to be as modest and humble as much as she can; a girl with a funny, straight-forward, and kind attitude that makes her as unique as she is. Yet after a frightful encounter with someone one day, her life starts to become out of balance and drama begins to arise. How can Zarina manage all of this while keeping a strong grip on her faith?
