Maricela bleeds gold, but she has no idea how.
She sings her songs for the Crysenthus Court, but she cannot remember why.

When the queen's birthday ball is thrown into chaos and bloodshed, a court seer named Avra quickly ushers Maricela out into the palace gardens. She rambles, urgently leading Maricela away from the siege. When the intruders draw near, Avra places her hand against Mericela and turns her into a statue.

For centuries, Maricela can do nothing but stare at the horizon with eyes made of stone trying to piece together the truth about her past. Trying to remember the man Avra named just moments before Maricela never saw her again.
