Newt, who wasn't immune to the Flare wanted to die because he did not wanted to pass the Gone, or simply didn't want to be a Crank. Newt told Tommy(Thomas) to kill him. So Thomas did. (Page.250)
When The Right Arm decided to destroy WICKED's headquarter, the Gladers see the safe Haven right in front of them and have to fight to get there.
Then the roof started to fall, Teresa pushed Thomas away and sacrifice her self instead of Thomas getting killed.

What if... Teresa never went with Thomas when she died, but instead, got the serum and went to try to save Newt without anyone knowing. Everyone would be gone to the Safe Heaven thinking Newt and Teresa are dead. But 1 month later, Newt woke up, healthy again and cured. Newt and Teresa then make a team to try and get back to the Safe Heaven where is everyone. This is an alternative end for The Maze Runner : The Death Cure (because I'm clearly still not over Newt's death and I'm so mad that they killed him, so yeah...)
