Quinn lived a normal enough life in Little Rock, Arkansas. That is, when your parents are scientists. Quinn is overloaded with homework already at her new school, and is assigned a Middle Ages project when she missed the whole unit. Luckily, she finds a time machine in the basement.
Fortunately, it transports her right where she needs to go - the Middle Ages.
Unfortunately, two of the medieval kingdoms are in the middle of a massive war.
