We've all read stories about the end of the world. Forced into ruin by monsters, a group of heroes is destined to fight them. But what if there's nothing left to save? What if there's nothing else you can do? You're only left to pick up the pieces, wander, and accept finality.

On the night of "finality", 8, and probably many others, uttered the same words, "If only the world ends tomorrow". Albeit by different circumstances-joy, anger, nihilism, or hopelessness-the universe heard their wishes.

Survivors of that doomsday live out the rest of their undetermined lifespans, wandering Remnant Earth. But the moment one of them dies from unknown circumstances, the monsters lingering started to act. Lost souls emerge from their forced slumbers, crying to be put out of their misery. And faced by death, the survivors are forced to face a pain they had long put behind them: grief.
