Eleven-year-old Samuel Velez lives a life in the shadows, full of neglect and misfortune. When a drastic accident separates him from his mother. he is forced into the care of his aunt and her family. While the family offers a much better life to young Samuel, he struggles with adopting a sense of structure and discipline. Things quickly turn for the worse, and he is soon threatened to be left in the care of the State. As Samuel's chances of a better life fade from existence, a bold psychiatrist offers one last treatment option. A treatment option so controversial yet has shown to have real results for troubled youth. Samuel is left with two real options. The question is, will he choose the right path to finding a sense of normalcy and belonging before it is too late?
