Mary Elizabeth Kelly (aka Beth), as lived by her mother's strict rules through the twenty eight years of her life. That meant she could never divorce her abusive husband of ten years, Austin, she would never be free from his beatings.

With no college education and no real aspiration, her only help might be her non-identical - in so many ways - twin Mary Catherine (aka Katie).
