THE THRESHOLD JUNGKOOK HORROR

Jeongsan screamed when it happened. Not a baby's cry. A scream that said I know what that was.

Jungkook swept the dust off the windowsill with the back of his hand. He didn't speak. He went to the kitchen and came back with duct tape. He taped the window shut in three X's. The glass bowed under the tape like it wanted to breathe.

"We're not sleeping again," Y/N said. She was pacing. Four steps to the wall, four steps back. The air mattress had deflated during the night. They were on the floor now. On blankets. On hardwood that was too cold. Jeongsan was in her arms. He hadn't let go since 3:04 AM.

"We have to," Jungkook said. His voice was flat. "If we don't sleep, we make mistakes. She wants mistakes."
