Jin is a rising tattoo artist known for his steady hands, sharp instincts, and designs that feel almost alive. His studio is always packed, but he keeps people at a distance-his art is intimate, but he refuses to be.
Everything changes when Kai walks in: a shy medical student who wants his first tattoo. Kai has no idea what design he wants, only that he wants Jin to do it. Intrigued by the soft-spoken stranger, Jin agrees to help him find something meaningful.
As the sessions continue, Jin notices what others miss: Kai flinches at loud noises, avoids eye contact, and hides bruises under his sleeves. Kai insists he's just clumsy, but Jin knows better.
Kai is running from someone who won't let him go.
When Kai suddenly disappears before his final session, Jin panics-realizing his feelings for Kai are deeper than he let himself believe. He finds Kai injured and terrified, leading to a confrontation neither of them can avoid.
Jin brings Kai into his world, offering protection, comfort, and a safe place to finally breathe. Their bond intensifies as Jin becomes the first person Kai fully trusts, and Kai becomes the first person who melts Jin's cold, guarded heart.
But Kai's past won't let go easily. And Jin has to choose between staying a silent observer or fighting for the one person who made him feel again.
Their love becomes a battle of ink, scars, and healing-slow, tender, and powerful.
