This is the story of two girls. Both are young high school girls. They attend Rose Academy, a strict school system designed to help "troubled" and unmotivated students.
Ariel comes from a small family consisting of only her and her father after her mother left with another man. She is a timid girl who tends to stay on the sideline. She finds it hard to make friends and often feels lonely despite her father trying to help her in any way possible. Her heart aches from loneliness and wishes she had someone by her side to love.
Rebecca comes from a family that consist of her mother and three sisters. She is a tomboy who tends to put on the tough girl act. Although its debatable whether or not its an act. She is known as a delinquent to many people for her history of being caught breaking an entry , ditching class, and having quite a story to tell... that is if she decides to tell you.

Nixon is the 3rd book in the Broken Series. (Ryan is the 1st, Brynn is the 2nd) Nixon leaves rehab early because he can't deal with being there anymore. His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
