"I've spent my whole life chasing something I thought would fix me..." Zuko's voice faltered, quieter now, like the words were slipping out before he could stop them. His amber eyes found mine. "...and now-" His jaw tightened. His hand flexed at his side, like he wanted to reach for me and didn't dare. His gaze dropped-just for a second-to my lips, like he hated himself for it. Then back to my eyes. "I don't know what to do now that I've found you instead because I would burn my entire empire just to keep you safe."
