Romance
Amber Lee Legazpi and Sebastian Pierre Acosta have always existed on opposite ends of excellence-top of the class, relentless, and equally unwilling to lose. From the moment they first crossed paths, their connection was defined by sharp words, competitive tension, and a constant need to outdo one another. Whether it's exam scores, debate rankings, or leadership roles, every achievement becomes another battlefield. To everyone else, they're intimidating; to each other, they're infuriating. But beneath the constant bickering lies something neither of them is willing to admit. Late nights spent competing slowly turn into quiet moments of understanding. Arguments shift into conversations, and rivalry begins to blur into something softer-something dangerous. Amber starts to see past Sebastian's arrogance, discovering the pressure he carries to live up to expectations. Sebastian, in turn, notices Amber's quiet fears of failure hidden behind her composed, perfectionist exterior. As they're forced to work together for a major academic competition, their dynamic changes. The tension that once fueled their rivalry transforms into an undeniable connection. They begin to trust each other, defend each other, and eventually, fall for each other-slowly, reluctantly, but deeply. Just as they finally find balance-between ambition and affection, competition and companionship-a tragic event shatters everything. A sudden circumstance neither of them could have predicted forces them apart, leaving words unsaid and feelings unresolved. Promises are broken not by choice, but by fate. Years later, the echoes of their rivalry and love remain-unfinished, unforgettable, and forever marked by what they almost had.

They were close. Not inappropriate. Not scandalous. Just... close. And Seraphina noticed. She didn't knock on Dominic's office door. She hadn't in years. She was halfway inside when she stopped, seeing her husband standing with Natalia, his assistant. Dominic had his jacket off, his sleeves pushed back. Natalia stood close, laughing with him in a way that felt nothing like their usual professional conversations. Then her hand rose to his collar. Her fingers lingered, and Dominic didn't step away. "You don't have to pretend with me," Natalia said softly. Pretend. Seraphina felt something inside her give way. "I know," Dominic answered. That was all it took. Natalia moved closer, and Dominic's hand settled on her waist. He didn't stop her. Their lips met in a slow, certain kiss. But the kiss wasn't what broke Seraphina. It was the moment before it, when Dominic could have stepped back and chose not to. His hand had tightened around Natalia's waist, as though letting her go had never crossed his mind. He pulled away only when he saw Seraphina standing silently in the doorway. The color drained from his face. But it was already too late. Seraphina didn't scream or demand an explanation. She simply turned and walked away from the office and from the marriage she had believed was safe. Dominic reached the hallway too late. She was already gone, and for the first time in seven years, he had no idea how to fix what he had broken.
