Jemma is a night-shift nurse recovering from her very dark past. Jemma grew up in a trap house with her family. She worked two jobs to afford her parents' rent while also trying to put herself through college. Jemma had to do and experience unthinkable things growing up, but the neighborhood boy was always there to help her out. Even if she refused to let him in, he still attempted to help her with anything she needed. She ended up getting into the college of her dreams, which meant leaving everything behind.

Jett lived across the street from Jemma. He also had a very dark past that he never let Jemma see. Even if she never knew his name or asked for his help, he made sure to do everything in his power to help her however he could. When Jemma moved away, Jet's life got much, much worse.
