This is not a fairy tale. And this is not a love story I chose. This is my story... the one I stepped into without fully knowing what was waiting for me. An arranged marriage. A new life. A new country. And a person... I was supposed to call my own. I grew up in a home where I was loved, protected, and cared for. Even when life wasn't perfect, I always had a place where I felt safe. I was someone who believed in what my parents taught me about right and wrong, about relationships, about life. I never thought I would leave all of that behind so soon. But I did. And I walked into a life that felt unfamiliar from the very beginning. He is not like me. We are not the same. Not in the way we think. Not in the way we feel. Not in the way we express ourselves. He grew up in a world very different from mine... a world that made him strong, but also rough. A world where emotions were not soft, where anger came easily, and where love was not shown the way I was used to. And me... I was never prepared for that. There is a decade between us. Ten years of life. Ten years of experiences. Ten years of understanding that I am still trying to catch up to. And now, we are living one life. Together. Some days, I don't understand him. Some days, I don't understand myself. There are moments I feel strong... and moments I feel like I am losing pieces of who I used to be. I keep asking myself... Will he ever change for me? Or will his anger slowly break me? Will I stay the same girl I was... or will I become someone I don't even recognize anymore? This is not just a story about marriage. This is my journey of leaving everything behind... of learning to live in a place that doesn't feel like home... of trying to understand a person who is now my life... and of holding onto myself while everything around me is changing. I don't know how this story will end. But this is where it begins.
