Between Silence and Us

They were just teammates. Friends. Nothing more... or at least, that's what they told themselves.
Between missions, silence, and unspoken moments, something begins to change. Not all at once, not loudly-but slowly. So slowly that it's almost easy to ignore... until it isn't.
She notices it first. The way her heart reacts, the way his presence lingers a little longer than it should. And no matter how much she tries to push it away, it only grows stronger.
He notices too. But some things are easier left unsaid.
This isn't a love story that happens overnight.
It's the kind that builds in glances, in distance, in words never spoken.
A slow burn.
