Open My Heart

At the age of 20, Hiccup and Merida get married. They were so deeply in love at the time that they thought love would last. Sadly it didn't and the two split 5 years later. They had a daughter at the time and she was 4 years old. Merida never liked her but Hiccup loved the kid to death.

Hiccup and Merida took turns every week with their kid so they each had the same amount of time. Merida found a lover only a week after the divorce papers where signed and Hiccup is still single and raising a daughter on his own every other week.

Now, 6 months after they divorce is when I step into the picture.

My name is Astrid Hope Hofferson and I'm a dance teacher down at the local dance studio. I also sing and preform at parties and large events. I'm struggling to earn money to help my mother who owns a bakery in town. My father is in the military which makes it even harder for my brother and I to pay my mother's medical bills.

I thought I'd spend my whole life struggling and single, but at one event where I bump into an auburn hair guy with green eyes, everything changes.
