A Day In His Life (Completed)

Michael used to be in love. But because of previous heartbreak, he's hesitant to love again. Until he met Alaya. She would tell you she is just your average girl, but Mike knows better. Yet, he can't seem to allow himself to accept what he feels, until an unexpected tragedy happens in his life. And he sees that, through this tragedy, Alaya is there and willing to help him cope. But there is still something in the back of his mind telling him he is not ready yet. So what will he do?

After losing her father at a young age, Alaya grew up never knowing what it is to love a man other than him. She was never the type to allow a man into her heart and she has always stayed away from that temptation so that she could focus on herself and heal from the emotional wounds losing her father has left behind. Alaya never expected another man to remind her of what that unconditional love felt like, until she met Michael. And he turned her world upside down. After a short lived whirlwind romance, she finds out why she never wanted to love a man the way she loved her father, all while longing for another day in his life...

Authors Note: Hey loves, please be gentle. This was my first attempt at writing a novel instead of my usual poetry. I know a lot of the content may be cringey and in desperate need of editing, however, I don't have that type of patience lol. So enjoy it for what it is...a little something from someone who knew nothing at the time.
