Lara is trying to get through university at Geffen without everything falling apart: her boyfriend, her friendships, and her own head included. Between house parties, dance society, and messy group dynamics, she keeps finding herself in situations she doesn't really want to be in.

Then there's Manon.

A bartender, film student, and Dani's best friend, Manon keeps showing up at the right moments, especially when Lara is overwhelmed or spiralling. It starts off small -- conversation, grounding, silence that feels easier than noise -- but slowly becomes something harder to ignore.

Lara has a boyfriend. Manon is just a friend.

At least, that's what she keeps telling herself.
