Strawberries & Sunburns

Everyone calls Park Yuna a brat.

Sharp tongue, eyes rolls, always "too much attitude."
At least, that's what her mother says.

So when Yuna's latest argument ends with a slammed door and another lecture about her "disrespect", her mother decides she needs to be fixed. No city. No friends. No shopping malls or late night convenience store runs.

Instead, she gets shipped off to spend the entire summer at a farm owned by an old family friend.

A farm.

With dirt. Animals. Early mornings. No wifi half the time.

And worst of all,
a ridiculously cheerful farm boy named Jake Sim, who smiles way too much, talks way too easily, and somehow thinks waking up at sunrise is fun.

Yuna hates it immediately.

The mud on her shoes.
The smell of hay.
The way everyone expects her to suddenly become grateful just because there's fresh air and homemade lemonade.

But Jake doesn't treat her like she's broken.

He doesn't flinch at her attitude.
Doesn't scold her tone.
Doesn't call her difficult.

Instead, he laughs at her sarcasm, teaches her how to feed baby goats, and grins like it's the best thing in the world when she finally smiles, just a little.

What starts the worst summer of her life slowly turns into something unfamiliar:

Soft sunsets.
Sticky fingers from fresh picked strawberries.
Late-night talks on the barn roof.

And for the first time, Yuna starts to wonder...

Maybe she was never a brat.
Maybe she was just never understood.

And maybe this summer,
with sunburned cheeks, muddy boots, and one golden retriever farm boy,
will change everything.
