Seventeen-year-old Lyra Voss is nobody-just a glitch in the system, a street-smart scavenger with a forbidden talent: she can hear the Echo, a mysterious frequency no one else detects, whispering secrets from the stars.

When a routine heist goes wrong, Lyra accidentally activates an ancient alien artifact that crashes her into Kael Draven-a brooding, half-alien operative from the secretive Nexus Order. He's dangerous, beautiful, and bound by a vow to protect (or eliminate) anyone who touches the Echo. Their first meeting ends in blaster fire and a narrow escape through neon-lit alleys.
