Eleven years ago a virus spread around the world, leading a very tiny fraction of the population to develop a condition known as 'giantism', which causes them to grow excessively to heights larger than 8 feet tall. This condition was only ever observed in women. This story follows a social worker in the governmental Department for Giantism Relief and Support as he tries to navigate difficult patients suffering from the condition as well as a host of regulatory issues around monitoring and controlling women who may grow to extreme sizes.

In order to do this, she decides to make a painful decision and move into the house she inherited from her deceased grandfather. Though it's a new start for her, it does not change her feeling of helplessness and overwhelm. After some time, strange situations begin to occur in her new property - at night she hears sounds of shuffling and quiet whispers, and in the morning she discovers that pieces of food or small items disappear without a trace. This helps her to distract herself from her problems and she devotes herself to finding the reason of these mysterious events. Damien Fireplace is a borrower who has been traveling the world for months to find a place he could call home. One day he comes across a quiet house and settles in it. He quickly discovers that he may not be so unnoticed.
