Never Yours, Nor Mine

As a princess of the darkness, I've always been used to having blood on my hands-every twisted part of me loves it when someone's in pain. Some call me a psycho princess, but that's the purpose of it all, wasn't it? To be cruel, ruthless, cold. My family was known for capturing people from every kingdom we strike, holding them hostage for torture. It became our habit, a source of joy and pleasure. We were bred for this-taught that mercy is weakness, that affection is a cage meant to break the strong.

Hindi ko akalain na isang tao lang pala ang makakapagpabago nito.

Idinala siya sa akin ng aking ama bilang isang... regalo. It was very weird, really. Wrapped in chains but standing tall, like he didn't even fear the darkness that surrounded our castle. He was supposed to be just another entertainment. Yung tipo ng bagay na gusto mong sirain. Gustong saktan. I even thought of all the ways to make him scream-the kind of sound that used to make my pulse race with excitement.

I thought my heart would never be capable of something so human. I always laughed at people who talk about love or affection like it's the most important thing in the world. Parang tanga lang sila sa paningin ko.

Pero ngayon... Damn it!

Why has he suddenly become the fire that had utterly melted this cold heart of mine? How come I turned into someone I never considered of turning into?

And for the first time in my life? I'm scared-not of losing a toy or a plaything, but of losing him. And the worst part? I don't even know if he can ever see me as anything more than the monster the whole world thinks I am.
